Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for the monthly financial reporting, regulatory and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Preparation of tax filing for federal GST/HST, provincial returns as well as relevant US states
  • Preparation of telecommunications regulatory filings for US and Canada
  • Preparation of bank reconciliationPreparations of journal entries
  • Preparation of Internal management reports as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • An Accounting designation (CGA, CMA or CA) or actively working toward a designation
  • Demonstrate effective customer service skills employing commercial sensitivity, business acumen, and good judgment
  • Effective business writing and professional communication skills
  • Must be responsible, take initiative, and embrace challenges
  • Strong  Microsoft skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) and use of the InternetExperience with Dynamics Great Plains accounting software

Installation Coordinator

The Installation Coordinator works with installers and customers to ensure the successful completion of satellite communications installation projects.  Scheduling installers and managing project resources to ensure the timely completion of projects is an important aspect of this position.  The Installation Coordinator will also be the liaison for customers and assist them with their questions and concerns.  This is an entry level technical project management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the time schedule and resources for installation professionals to ensure a timely and successful installation for the customers.
  • Distribute and validate civil works requirements with customers.
  • Provide assistance to sales professionals and customers with technical support and expertise.
  • Track project costs for project billing.
  • Ensure project contracts and project documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Preconfigure and test satellite communication systems.

Position Requirements:

  • A Technical Diploma, preferably Electronics or Telecommunications and several years of related experience.
  • Experience in wireless communications/installations/network addressing would be a definite asset.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications including email, word and excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) practices is an asset.
  • Knowledge of WHMIS.
